01 Event Overview

On November 16, 2025, the Shanghai Jiao Tong University 2025 Graduate Student Dragon Boat Race was successfully held at the Water Sports Base in Minhang Campus. The event featured a 200-meter straight dragon boat race, divided into undergraduate and graduate categories. A dragon boat team composed of more than 20 graduate students from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics competed and ultimately won second place in the graduate category.

02 Race Highlights

01 Pre-Race Preparation
Two hours before the race, the Aerospace Dragon Boat Team had already entered "preparation mode." For this competition, the team members had undergone multiple rounds of training, refining every detail from basic paddle control and team synchronization to tactics for handling unexpected situations.

02 Race in Action
On the dragon boat, the drumbeats were particularly intense: "Boom! Boom! Boom!" The team members worked together, racing against time toward the finish line. The paddles sliced through the water on both sides, and the dragon boat sped forward like a rocket beneath the reeds, as if a dragon were soaring with overwhelming momentum.

03 Final Result
Every team member’s sweat, every synchronized paddle stroke, and every determined shout became the most cherished "medals" for the aerospace students. In the end, the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics dragon boat team achieved second place, finishing just 0.13 seconds behind the first-place team. The team commemorated the moment with a group photo.
