Professor Wang has participated and presided over various structural design and strength research projects for a number of key aircraft models in China. He led the pre-research projects on aircraft structure and strength funded by the Air Force Armament Department from the 7th to 11th Five-Year Plan as well as a number of projects supported by various foundations. He participated in the research and development of the new regional aircraft ARJ21-700 and large civil planes.
