主讲人介绍：

       Dr. Chunhua Sheng is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Director of the High Performance Computing Laboratory at the University of Toledo.  

       He has over twenty years of research experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in the areas of fixed-wing and rotary- wing aircraft, wind turbines, jet engines, undersea vehicles, and launch vehicles.  

       Prior to joining the University of Toledo in 2009, he has worked in the High Performance Computing Collaboratory and the NFS Engineering Research Center for Computational Field Simulation at Mississippi State University for 18 years.  As the technical lead, he developed a state-of-the-art high performance computational simulation code U2NCLE, which has been distributed to several U.S. governmental agencies, and is currently in use by leading U.S. aerospace industries for their current and future generation aircraft designs.

       Dr. Sheng has been active in professional society activities. He has served on two technical committees in the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA Applied Aerodynamics and Fluid Dynamics) and two technical committees in the American Helicopter Society International (AHS Acoustics and Aerodynamics).  He also served as the Technical Program Co-Chair for the 31st AIAA Applied Aerodynamics Conference and Aerodynamics Session Chair for the 69th AHS Annual Forum and Technology Display in 2013.  He was elected as an Associate Fellow in the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2010.
