Wang Xiji

Wang Xiji was the founder of Atomic Bomb, Missile and Satellite, member of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He graduated from Xi’nan (South-West) Combined University in Machinery Department in 1942; graduated from U.S Virginia Institute of Technology in dynamic and fuel with science master degree in 1949; took up teaching in Dalian Institute of Technology and Shanghai Jiao Tong University since return to motherland in 1950. Wang became the chief engineer of Shanghai Institute of Machine and Electricity Design in 1958, held successively the posts of Director Of Beijing Institute of Space Machinery and Electricity, Vice President and Director of Science And Technology Commission of CAST and chief engineer of the Ministry of Astronautics Industry since 1977; chief designer of returnable satellite; member of International Academy Of Astronautics and Chinese Academy Of Sciences.
