15th International Conference on Information Fusion

Fusion 2012

Fusion 2012 is the 15th International Conference on Information Fusion. It will be held for the first time in the Asian continent in Singapore. The objective of the conference is to provide a forum to discuss advances and applications of fusion methodologies. The conference will feature keynote speeches, special sessions on topics of current interest, a tutorial program to assist new researchers in the field, and both regular and student paper awards. Authors are invited to submit papers to this conference describing advances and applications in Information Fusion, with submission of non-traditional topics encouraged. The presented papers shall be included in the IEEE Xplore and EI Compendex databases.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following:

 

  1. Theory and representation: Probability theory, Bayesian inference, Fuzzy sets, Fuzzy logic, Dempster-Shafer, Evidential reasoning, Belief functions, Logic based fusion, Preference aggregation, Vote, Random sets, Neural networks, Ontology & category theory, Managing uncertainty.
  2. Algorithms: Feature extraction, Pattern analysis, Behaviour modelling, Nonlinear filtering and smoothing, Data mining, Machine learning, Reasoning under uncertainty, Multi-modal fusion.

a) Low Level Information Fusion: Data association, Detection, Registration, Tracking and localization, Classification and recognition,
b) High Level Information Fusion: Multi-sensor fusion, Process management, Situation assessment, Predictive and impact assessment, Sensor resource management.

  1. Modelling, simulation and evaluation: Target modelling, Sensor modelling, Simulation tools, Benchmarks, Test-beds, Fusion performance modelling and evaluation, Evaluation of performance under uncertainty.Information fusion application areas: Sensor networks, Defence and intelligence, Aerospace, Public security, Computer security, Robotics and automation, Intelligent transportation, Logistics, Automotive, Manufacturing, Economics and financial, Environmental monitoring, Medical care.

 

Paper Submissions. Prospective authors are invited to submit papers online. Both paper templates and submission instructions will be available at the conference website http://www.aero.sjtu.edu.cn. Papers should be 6 to 8 pages in length. All papers must be approved for public release via the appropriate procedure of their employers/funding agencies prior to submittal.

Student Paper Program. Fusion 2012 is featuring a student paper program to encourage the involvement of young engineers and scientists in information fusion. Conference fees will be discounted for all student attendees.

 

Awards Information. Any paper with original research results can be considered for the Best Conference Paper Award or the Best Student Paper Award with a certificate and a prize.
