Vice President of University of Toronto Visits SJTU for Aerospace Cooperation

On the morning of 26th March of 2015, Judith Wolfson, the Vice president of University of Toronto (U of T), visited Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). President Zhang Jie met the guests, and accompanied by the Chairman of School of Aeronautics and Astronautics (SAA) Board, Cheng Jiaojie, and the Vice Dean of SAA, Zhan Xingqun.

 

President Zhang Jie introduced SJTU’s achievements in the field of aeronautics and astronautics up to now, and explained his wish to build SSA into the Shanghai Aerospace Base. In addition, he offered sufficient affirmation to the success of dual master program between SJTU and U of T, and also expressed the willingness to cooperate further.

 

 

Ms. Wolfson firstly conveyed the greetings of President Meric Gertler, and then explained the international cooperation strategy of U of T. She said SJTU was one of the most significant partners of U of T, and hoped to deepen collaboration with SJTU in the aviation and space sectors

 

During the past four years,the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics,Shanghai Jiao Tong University has established close cooperation with the Institute for Aerospace Studies, University of Toronto, including training master students jointly, exchanging teaching resources, and founding the joint research center.

 

After the meeting, Ms. Wolfson and her delegation visited the SAA laboratories.
